Steven Bye, 14, and 18-year-old Mikhail Checkley were hit as they were walking along the A6116
Brigstock bypass in the early hours of Saturday and were declared dead at the scene.
The two friends, both from Desborough, were described as inseparable, with Mikhail seen as a
father-figure to Steven.
Mikhail was a true mate he was there for you, through thick and thin. He loved his mates dearly
especially his little crew he had.
Steven was how you would expect any 14 year old lad to act at that age. He and Mikhail of what I
knew was always together..
Its a truly sad end how these 2 great people had sadly lost their lives.
R.I.P Miky and Little Steve, we will all miss u both and keep u in our thoughts and hearts forever

A FOUR LEAF CLOVER
A four leaf clover
A treasure priceless and rare
Like my child in heaven above
Now in gods tender loving care.
Each leaf a meaning a part of my grief
One leaf for strength
One for memories so dear
One leaf for peace
And one for my faith in god above.
Each represents a part of my life
My child in heaven
Forever missed and forever loved.

Stands for strength
To make it through the day

My Very Special Mum
My Mum is a survivor,
Or so I've heard it said.
But I can hear her crying at night,
When all others are in bed.
I watch her lay awake at night,
And go to hold her hand.
She doesn't know I'm with her,
To help her understand.
But like the sands on the beach,
That never wash away...
I watch over my surviving Mum,
Who thinks of me each day.
She wears a smile for others...
A smile of disguise!
But through Heaven's door I see,
Tears flowing from her eyes.
My Mum tries to cope with death,
To keep my memory alive.
But anyone who knows her knows,
It is her way to survive.
As I watch over my surviving Mum,
Through Heaven's open door...
I try to tell her that angels,
Protect me forevermore.
I know that doesn't help her...
Or ease the burden she bears.
So if you get a chance, go visit her...
And show her that you care.
For no matter what she says...
No matter what she feels,
My surviving Mum has a broken heart,
That time won't ever heal.
Dad’s Cry Too….
I cannot ease your aching heart Dad,
Nor take your pain away;
But let me stay and take your hand

I had a drifting mood today
It stirred a thought or two
My mind went back to happy days
To memories of you.
Our lives are like a tapestry
With two distinctive sides
The front a perfect picture
The back our secret hides.
Our memories are built like this
Some are clear and real
Others travel in and out
With no specific feel.
Life's phases too are tapestries
With textures of their own
Some we love and some we hate
From all of them we've grown.
We gather wisdom from our pains
From torment we grow strong
Our spirit nurtured by mistakes
Still fated, travels on.
Perhaps one thing which stays the same
And will forever more
Is the love we hold for another soul
The people we adore.

FUNNY BUNNY
Little Easter, the comedienne bunny,
Tried too hard at being funny.
She juggled and she dropped the eggs
They fell and smashed between her legs.
Poor Easter left the stage in shame
And thought that she might change her name.
But then that bunny read this ad,
"This Sunday we need help real bad."
So Easter Bunny kept her name
And through the years has gained much fame,
When Easter's Sunday comes each year.
